In the past week, emergency responders received three medical calls and transported three people to the hospital; none required Advanced Life Support services. Police received one false burglar alarm.
Tuesday, March 16
At 11:23 p.m. a caller reported a box of trash lying on Stow Road, creating a hazard for drivers; the Department of Public Works was called to remove it.
Wednesday, March 17
At 12:39 p.m. a Tahanto Trail resident called to say someone had stolen their cat.
Thursday, March 18
At 10:40 a.m. a Woodside Road resident came to the police station to report a fraudulent unemployment claim that had been filed under the resident’s name in another state. At 5:40 p.m. a 911 caller told police a moving van on Stow Road appeared to be stuck beneath the Interstate 495 overpass. However, when police checked, they found the van had just stopped to deliver a car to an address nearby.
Friday, March 19

Saturday, March 20
At 6:36 p.m. an Ann Lees Road resident called to say their dog had run off; the animal control officer was notified. At 8:31 p.m. someone on Jacob Gates Road called to report a bear in the backyard. Police said they could do nothing about the animal and recommended leaving it alone. At 9:50 p.m. a caller told police there was a noisy gathering at the Prospect Hill overlook, with loud music and yelling. Police found a group of juveniles in a number of cars at the site and told them to go home.
