High-dose flu vaccine available for ages 65+
Nashoba Associated Boards of Health has a limited supply of high-dose flu vaccine for ages 65 and older. If you still need a flu shot, call 978-772-3335 ext. 357 to schedule an appointment.
Snow and ice removal bylaws
Harvard’s Department of Public Works (DPW) reminds residents that there are two town bylaws about snow and ice removal and to make sure their plow personnel are aware of them. Contact DPW Director Tim Kilhart at 978-456-4130 or tkilhart@harvard.ma.us with any questions.
Snow and ice must not be pushed on, over, or across a public way so as to impede the flow of traffic. Also, snow and ice must not be pushed onto a sidewalk so as to impede pedestrian traffic. Violation of this bylaw will result in a fine.
Vehicles must not be placed on a public way so as to hinder DPW’s snow and ice removal operations. DPW personnel may remove any vehicle interfering with such work.
Sand buckets for winter weather
The town will deliver a bucket of sand to any older resident who asks for it. To request sand, call the Council on Aging at 978-456-4120.
Emergency help with rent and mortgage payments
At the 2020 Fall Town Meeting, Harvard voted to transfer money from the Community Preservation Fund to the Harvard Municipal Affordable Housing Trust Fund for emergency rental or mortgage assistance for Harvard residents. Call the COA office at 978-456-4120 or the Community and Economic Development office at 978-456-4100 ext. 323 for more information.
Curbside pickup at the library
Curbside pickup is available six days a week at the Harvard Public Library:
- Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Photos wanted for 2020 annual town report
Residents are invited to submit their photographs for inclusion in the 2020 annual report. Photos could be taken while out walking conservation land, picking fruit at a Harvard orchard, visiting the General Store, enjoying Bare Hill Pond, or attending a town meeting or cultural event. The possibilities are endless as long as it’s in Harvard!

Winter 2020/21 fuel assistance
Applications for the state’s fuel assistance program may be made by calling the Council on Aging at 978-456-4120. The state gross annual income limit for assistance is $39,105 for a household of one; $51,137 for a household of two.

Fort Devens has announced the following noise bulletin for January:
