In the past week, police made two motor vehicle stops, both resulting in verbal warnings. They also received one call about a disabled vehicle and responded to three false burglar alarms. Emergency responders received seven medical calls. Five people required ambulance transport to a hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services in attendance. One call was a request for a lift-assist, and another needed no additional services.
Tuesday, Dec. 8
At 2:59 p.m. multiple 911 callers reported a rollover crash on Interstate 495 southbound. Both Bolton and Harvard emergency services responded, but no one required ambulance transport; state police had the vehicle towed. At 11:07 p.m. an officer noticed a low-hanging wire across Ayer Road; the cable company was notified.
Wednesday, Dec. 9
At 2:01 p.m. an officer called the Department of Public Works about a fallen tree on East Bare Hill Road. At 2:14 p.m. a caller reported a two-car collision at the intersection of Pinnacle Road and Park Lane. A driver going west on Pinnacle pulled around a snowplow and was struck by another vehicle pulling out of Park Lane. No one was injured.
Thursday, Dec. 10
At 4:23 p.m. an officer noticed a car parked near the Transfer Station and went to check on it. The car belonged to someone sorting bottles for the Boy Scouts’ collection. At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported a large item—perhaps a television—in the roadway near the intersection of Littleton Road and Fairbank Street. The DPW was called to remove it.
Friday, Dec. 11
At 8:15 a.m. a caller reported a wire hanging low over Cleaves Hill Road, and the cable company was notified. At 2:31 p.m. someone turned in a lost passport, and police informed its owner.
Saturday, Dec. 12
At 4:11 p.m. someone called with suspicions about a white van parked near a driveway on Old Littleton Road. Police found that it was a delivery van, and the driver had stopped to sort packages.
Sunday, Dec. 13
At 1:05 p.m. a 911 caller reported that aggressive dogs were chasing people near the intersection of Old Littleton and Green Hill roads. The animal control officer was alerted.
Monday, Dec. 14
At 12:13 p.m. a Bolton Road resident called about a baby owl in a birdhouse. No further information was available.
