My name is Dina Samfield, and I am a Democratic candidate for 37th Middlesex District state representative, the seat recently left vacant by Representative Jennifer Benson’s resignation.
I am a former program coordinator and public school science teacher who, since moving to the town of Shirley 16 years ago, has worked to improve education via support for the regionalization of the Ayer Shirley schools, and the renovation of our Ayer Shirley Regional High School.
As the chair of the Shirley Democratic Town Committee and a founding member of Indivisible Nashoba, I have brought people together to present public forums designed to educate the public about issues such as climate change, Medicare for All, and propaganda and the media.
As your state representative, I will continue to fight for quality schools, affordable health care, and addressing the climate crisis.
I am committed to working for affordable and accessible quality early education and childcare, restoring adequate funding for public colleges and universities, 100% renewable energy and other climate solutions, Medicare for all, State House transparency, safe communities, protecting women’s reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, and addressing the commonwealth’s transportation crisis.
