Tip #35: Which holiday wrappings are recyclable, and which are not?
Yes, recycle:
- Plain wrappoing paper (not metallic, no glitter or velvet flocking). Tape is OK.
- Holiday card on plain paper
- Envelopes
- Empty, flattened cardboard boxes
No, do not recycle:
- Wrapping paper: metallic or with glitter or velvet flocking
- Holiday cards on photo paper or with metallic embossing or glitter
- Envelopes lined with foil
- Cardboard boxes with packing peanuts or plastic air packs inside
- Bows (but do reuse)
- Ribbon (but do reuse)
- Glitter (wrapping paper and cards)
