Last month, many of us received a glossy postcard deriding Jen Benson’s carbon pricing bill. Several letters to the editor appeared the following week (Oct 4, 2019) imploring each of us to get the facts straight about carbon pricing and how it can help move our economy away from fossil fuels. Most of us recognize that climate change is a real and urgent issue but have questions about what carbon pricing is and how it will affect our families. This is why the UU Church is sponsoring an info session on carbon pricing on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Fellowship Building. Two members of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, David Radue and Bromfield grad Ethan Payne, will explain how carbon pricing works and will answer your questions. Whether you are a fan, skeptic, or outright critic, this is a chance to listen and learn and just maybe find a sliver of hope for a better future for our kids.
