Nashoba Valley Medical Center (NVMC) will host its eighth annual 5K run and walk Saturday, Oct. 19. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Loaves & Fishes, providing food and temporary support services to residents of Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. The professionally timed 5K run will start at NVMC, 200 Groton Road in Ayer, at 11 a.m. Walkers may also participate, and kids can compete in a half-mile run at 10:30 a.m. An awards presentation as well as activities for the whole family will be available at the finish line.
