The public is invited to a free walking tour titled, “Ice, Innovation & Impoundment – The Ayer Ice House Dam On the Nashua River” Thursday, July 18 (rain or shine), from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The tour, which is part of the Nashua River Watershed Association’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration, will explore the volumes of history and heritage of this location at 323 West Main Street in Ayer. The tour is appropriate for ages 12 and up; children must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs are allowed.
