Harvard police made four traffic stops this week that resulted in three verbal warnings and one citation. Police also issued three parking tickets and assisted with six disabled vehicles and two lockouts. The ambulance crew responded to eight medical emergencies and transported seven people to the hospital, five with Advanced Life Support on board. During the week six abandoned 911 calls came from the sewer pump house on Mass. Ave. Police told the Press those calls were likely the result of malfunctioning equipment, not malicious behavior, and they are looking into the problem.

Wednesday, June 5
At 3:38 p.m. a Mass. Ave. resident called to report a silver vehicle had pulled into her driveway multiple times. An officer responded but could not locate the vehicle. A Whitman Road resident called at 10:21 p.m. to report a group of kids partying by the pond. An officer was dispatched and told the partiers to move along.
Thursday, June 6
Someone stopped by the station at 3:16 p.m. to report losing a front license plate. At 11:26 p.m. a caller requested a well-being check at a residence on Ayer Road; an officer responded and determined all was well.
Friday, June 7
A caller reported seeing suspicious motor vehicles parked on Old Shirley Road near the cell tower at 11:24 a.m. Police did not locate the vehicles but are keeping an eye on the area. At 3:27 p.m. an elderly man called to ask for assistance turning off his house alarm. An officer responded and was able to turn off the alarm. A caller reported a goat in the middle of Prospect Hill Road at 5:06 p.m. The animal’s owner was notified and retrieved the goat. At 5:21 p.m. a 911 caller reported that a bicyclist may have been struck by a tractor trailer on Ayer Road. Police responded and determined that the bicyclist was not hit, but he had jumped off his bike for fear of being hit after the truck driver beeped his horn. The rider was not injured.
Saturday, June 8
At 2:08 p.m. state police reported a 1990s model silver pickup truck that had been driving erratically on Route 2 had just exited onto Ayer Road north. Police could not locate the vehicle. At 2:41 p.m. someone turned in a Dodge Ram key fob that was found on Old Mill Road. The key fob is still at the station.
Sunday, June 9
Police came across an unoccupied vehicle parked at McCurdy Track at 4:11 a.m. The incident was logged. At 9:33 a.m. a Prospect Hill Road resident called 911 to report a dog was run over by a tractor. An officer was dispatched and verified the report. No further information is available. An anonymous report of illegal hunting behind houses on Eldridge Road came in at 9:34 a.m. An officer investigated and found no one hunting in that area. At 10:35 an alarm at the Bromfield School went off; an officer checked and found the building to be secure with nothing amiss. Police surmise that someone attending a baseball game on the Pond Road field may have tried to open one of the school doors to use the bathroom, which triggered the alarm.
Monday, June 10
At 2:43 p.m. a caller who was walking on Old Mill Road reported that a driver had pulled over to speak to her, and his conversation had unnerved her. The driver was a person familiar to police, and an officer spoke to him to let him know his behavior was not appropriate. A Bolton Road caller reported possible illegal burning in the area at 8:14 p.m. No fire was located.
