St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will host a benefit concert and reception Sunday, June 9, at 3 p.m. at Groton School’s St. John’s Chapel. The Amethyst Chamber Ensemble will perform a selection of music, from opera to spirituals, serious to humorous. The concert will be followed by a reception. Proceeds from this concert will go to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry; Esperanza Academy, a tuition-free independent middle school welcoming girls of diverse faiths, races and cultures; and the Society of St. Margaret, working with inner-city children and the indigent elderly.
