I tripped and fell over a mashed traffic cone at the Transfer Station Saturday, April 27. Several good Samaritans rushed to my aid, picked me up, bandaged me, and put me in my car and called the ambulance.
I refused to go to the hospital because I didn’t think it was necessary. However, when I got home I collapsed on the floor and my wife had to call the ambulance again. They came and took me to Emerson where I was treated extensively and should be as good as new in a week or 10 days. I strongly thank everyone involved and apologize to the ambulance crew, who were great in every respect, for not having taken their advice at the Transfer Station and thus causing them a lot of extra work taking me out of the house and down the stairs to the ambulance.
P.S. I fell down again at home Tuesday, and, once again, the ambulance crew responded immediately and put me back together again. There is no way to thank them enough.
