Sunday afternoon, April 28, the League of Women Voters of Harvard hosted a casual gathering upstairs at the General Store dubbed “Town Matters Happy Hour.” A number of elected town officials, Town Hall staff, candidates, and representatives from the citizen petition to ban retail marijuana establishments were on hand to answer questions about the upcoming Town Meeting warrant and share their views.
Meg Bagadonas of the League of Women Voters served as master of ceremonies and greeted all who attended. Each board or warrant article was assigned a table and staffed with energetic representatives or candidates. Although lightly attended by the public, lively conversations were had by those who shared a frosty beverage together that afternoon.
