Brian Johnson of Finn Road was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Johnson is pursuing a degree in film/cinema studies at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. Membership into Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation, and only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
For the third consecutive season, Worcester Polytechnic Institute junior Suzanne Opalka was one of 13 WPI field hockey student athletes to earn academic honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The Division III National Academic Squad program honors student athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
