Celebration of Wild and Scenic River Designation

On Sunday, April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m., all are invited to celebrate the designation of  the Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Rivers as part of the National Wild and Scenic River System. The event will be at the Bill Ashe Visitor Center in the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge, 80 Hospital Road in Devens. Federal, state, and local officials will share what the designation means to our region. In addition, there will be refreshments, guided walks, and live music. Those interested in paddling can bring their canoes and kayaks; the dock will be in place on the Nashua River. Reservations are not required, but are appreciated for planning purposes.
