Children aged 5 to 10 and their parents are invited to learn about black bears at the Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) free program “When Do Bears Wake Up?” Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 2 p.m, at the Richards Memorial Library, 44 Richards Avenue in Paxton. Listen to a story about bears, touch a bear skin, skull, and claws; make bear prints in clay; create a moveable bear head out of paper; and pretend to be bears and cubs waking up for spring. Outdoors we’ll play an active bear game and look for bear food. Registration is required at 508-754 -0793.
