On behalf of Harvard’s Ecumenical Christmas Pageant planning committee, I would like to extend our deep appreciation to all community members who helped to make this annual event a success. This year we had nearly 50 children in grades 2 through 12 singing in the choir, rehearsing every Sunday since early November, and 30 more children, in roles such as angels and shepherds. Many older students donated hours of time also as musicians (flutists, trumpeters, harpsichordist), dance teachers, lighting crew, videographers, greeters, and members of the cleaning crew. We also thank Nancy Cronin and her elves at the Congregational Church for making the hot cocoa and cookies possible, and Town Administrator Tim Bragan and the Harvard Fire Department for their help in lighting the town Christmas tree on the Common. We are very grateful for the Nashoba Valley Concert Band sharing joyous festive music at the tree lighting. There are so many others who behind the scenes generously and kindly donate their invaluable time and talent to this special annual event, and this is what makes it truly warm and wonderful. We are grateful to all of you. Thank you to all parents of participants for all their help, in ways large and small, for coming together. We thank the Unitarian Church for their generosity in annually sharing their space with the town to make this possible.
