Former resident, business co-founder, stylish entertainer

Elizabeth (Ferry) Chambers, 55, died peacefully on Nov. 9, 2018, with her family by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Liz was exceptionally kind, beautiful, and smart. She had a quiet but powerful presence. She battled cancer fiercely, bravely, and with exquisite grace and good humor.
Liz was born June 17, 1963 and grew up in Grafton. She attended the Bancroft School and graduated from Skidmore College in 1985 with a degree in chemistry. Liz married her husband Paul in 1992, and together they founded and ran a technical product development and manufacturing business. They lived and raised their family in Wayland and in Harvard, where she lived from 2005 until earlier this year. She was devoted to her family and many close friends. She was an active member of her community and enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, and entertaining in style.
Liz is survived by her husband Paul and their three children, Matthew, Katie, and Jack; her two step-daughters Jessica and Kathleen; her father Fred Ferry III and his wife Charlie; her mother Joan Lampshire and her husband Geoff; her brother Fred Ferry IV and his daughters Danielle and Cassia; her aunt and uncle Lois and Vasil Veshia; and cousins Jennifer and Nick Hopley and their children Max and Julia; and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her beloved dogs Digger and Scruffy.
Her life was celebrated in a beautiful private ceremony on Nov. 24, 2018 and her ashes were spread in Buzzards Bay off Cape Cod.
