The Bromfield boys soccer team approaches the end of October and the end of its regular season with two wins, two ties, and one loss.
On Monday, Oct. 15, the team won 4-1 against Littleton, home at Harvard Park. Senior Charlie Pappas scored twice while senior Jake Catalina and junior Pasha Sahin each scored once.
Neither team scored when Bromfield played Maynard on Wednesday, Oct.17; the game was tied.
Bromfield played to a tie again Saturday, Oct. 20, in a 1-1 game against Algonquin in Northborough. Twenty-five minutes into the game, Pappas scored Bromfield’s only goal of the night.
Nearing the end of the season, Bromfield lost 3-1 to Westborough in Westborough. Sahin scored the single Bromfield goal.
In the last game of the regular season, the boys shut out their longtime rival Sutton 3-0 on Monday, Oct. 29, in Sutton. Seniors Pappas, Catalina, and Ryan Glazier each notched a goal for Bromfield.
The team is ranked first in the Mid-Wach D League with an overall record of 11-3-3. With the customary, celebratory haircut of self-done mohawks, the team is preparing to take on the playoffs, which will occur in November.
