Joyce D. (Dawkins) Socha-Courtemanche, 74, of Harvard, passed away Oct. 10, 2018, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Raymond Courtemanche.
She was born on April 13, 1944, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Ruth (Dafoe) Dawkins. She graduated from Royal Oak Dondero High School, class of 1962, and attended School Craft College in Michigan. She was the executive assistant at Thermo Electron in Waltham for 18 years, retiring in 2002.
Joyce enjoyed music, playing the piano, singing in the choir, dancing with Ray, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, she is survived by her son, Jeffrey S. and his wife Kristen Socha of Boylston; her daughter, Judy L. and her husband Brian Cox of Harvard; two grandchildren, Peter Socha and Sydney Socha, both of Boylston.
Visiting hours were held Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Buma Funeral Home in Uxbridge.
A viewing and funeral service were held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Valley Chapel, A Church of the Nazarene in Uxbridge, followed by burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge.
