The Harvard Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship Subcommittee approached Harvard Boy Scout Troop 1 leaders to see if the Scouts would like to perform some significant trail maintenance upgrades on an almost 100-foot causeway/boardwalk area of the Vesenka/Black Pond Trail. The causeway/boardwalk is just a couple of hundred yards after entering the trail from Littleton County Road. Nine boys, several Scout leaders, and a neighbor worked Sunday, Oct. 21, to make essential repairs, which created a safer and more secure boardwalk.
