Boys continue winning streak with three more soccer victories

In a string of victories, the Bromfield Trojans beat Littleton, Tyngsborough, and Maynard in their three games over the past two weeks to remain undefeated for the season.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, in an away game, the Trojans defeated the Littleton Tigers 3-1. Senior Nolan Granville scored two goals and senior Ryan Glazier made one.

On Monday, Sept. 17, Bromfield won 5-1 against Tyngsborough in a home game at Harvard Park. Granville scored Bromfield’s first goal four minutes into the game. Junior Will Armstrong and senior Jake Catalina each made a goal, and senior Charlie Pappas scored twice.

Bromfield defeated Maynard on Thursday, Sept. 20, at home. Armstrong made the only goal of the game in the second half. Bromfield’s goalie, sophomore Ethan Fitzsimmons, made six saves and succeeded in shutting out opponents for the second time this season.

Bromfield is ranked first in the Mid-Wach D League with a record of 5-0-0. The team’s next game is against nonleague rival Quabbin Regional High School (2-3-1) on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Barre at 4 p.m. The team will also play Lunenburg (4-1-0) in Lunenburg on Friday, Sept. 28, at 3:30 p.m. and Clinton (1-6-0) in Clinton on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 3:30 p.m.
