The Lit’ry Life 2018: Poetry by Peter Quinn

Haiku

mom hipple-hopple’s

participle dangled; she

tripped, broke her neck, died.

—–

her headstone: “stray not,

as did I, from narrow paths

of righteous syntax”

Haiku

butterflies, metathesis

lets them flutterby
