The Press’s weekly farmstand column will return on August 10, but in the meantime, here’s an updated list of what our local farmstands will have to offer over the next two weeks.
Carlson Orchards, 115 Oak Hill Road
Pick-your-own blueberries and yellow peaches. Blueberries and yellow and white peaches available in the store. Brookdale Fruit Farm’s corn, zucchini,
summer squash, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, green peppers, green and yellow string beans, and white and red onions available in the store. Tomatoes and
cherry tomatoes are starting to come in; some will be available for the July 27 weekend.
Doe Orchards, 327 Ayer Road
Pick-your-own blueberries and raspberries will still be available for picking a bit longer. Blueberries and yellow and white peaches on the stand, along with Doe’s honey and fruit jams (while they last).
Old Frog Pond Farm, 38 Eldridge Road
Already-picked blueberries. Eggs will be available starting July 31.
Westward Orchards, 178 Massachusetts Avenue
Blueberries (both pick-your-own and in the store), peaches, plums, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, eggplant, kale, Swiss chard, cucumbers, beans, summer squash, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, and a variety of herbs. Corn is expected next week (July 30).
Willard Farm, 218 Still River Road
Tomatoes (yellow and red), peppers (sweet and hot), cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, red and white potatoes. Ornamental edible pepper plants. Corn will be in soon.
All produce listed is Harvard-grown unless otherwise noted. Brookdale Fruit Farm is in Hollis, New Hampshire.
