Upset by all the books going into the trash week after week, Camille Gomez, Robin Miller, Rebecca Miller, and Sophie Thompson came up with the idea of building a book exchange shed at the Harvard Transfer Station where residents could take or leave books. Along with others from Girl Scout Troop 30741, the girls hosted Fun and Games Friday, a June 15 fundraising event at Hildreth Elementary School that raised the funds for the shed. Next, the girls will seek approval from the Select Board for the project.
