An increase in the cost of getting rid of empty propane tanks and fire extinguishers prompted the selectmen Tuesday night to raise fees for their disposal at the town Transfer Station. The vote in favor of the increase was unanimous. Following are the new rates, which are effective immediately.
New rates:
- 1 lb. propane tank – $1.00
- 2 lb. propane tank – $2.00
- fire extinguisher – $6.00
- 20 lb. propane tank – $5.00 (unchanged)
