The Lions Club hosted a Youth Speech Competition Nov. 14 at the Harvard Public Library. The competition involved high school students speaking on the topic “What is the impact of volunteerism?” Nikhil Kommineni took first place, winning $100 and moving on to the district competition, where he placed third. In the local contest, Liam Makosky took second place, and India Bartram placed third..
