Fanfare invites community to support restoration of historical piano for Harvard schools

January 25, 2018

On behalf of Fanfare, I would like to thank the Harvard Press for the coverage of our “88 Keys” piano improvement campaign that featured a story on the town’s 1931 Steinway M series piano. We are pleased to announce that the music department at the Bromfield School has decided to refurbish the Steinway piano and preserve a great piece of Harvard history. Fanfare is also extraordinarily thankful for the opportunity to consider the Baldwin concert piano that was generously offered to the school by a longtime Harvard resident.

Thanks to the support of our members and the publicity in the Harvard Press, we are more than halfway to our fundraising goal of raising $14,200 and have raised enough funds to begin the restoration of the Steinway.

We still have a way to go to reach our goal and hope other families will join Fanfare and support our efforts. Find out more by visiting our website at www.fanfareformusic.org and making a pledge online.
