Computer support and workshops

Schedule an appointment for help with computer issues Tuesday or Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hildreth House. Or sign up for a workshop:

  • Dec. 15, 1 p.m. – Introduction to Excel. Learn how to create a budget and some of the many Excel features.


Winter at Tower Hill

See the spectacular display of lights throughout 8 acres of gardens and trees at Tower Hill Botanical Gardens in Boylston Wednesday, Dec. 20. The van will leave Hildreth House at 4:30 p.m. and will return by 8:30 p.m. The fee is $15; sign up and pay by Dec. 8. Food is available at Tower Hill at additional cost.



New Year’s lunch at Bamboo Restaurant

Celebrate the end of 2017 and hope for a healthy, prosperous 2018 with Harvard friends Friday, Dec. 29. We will travel to Westford for lunch at Bamboo, which offers a diverse menu of Japanese and Chinese dishes, including a buffet. The van ($2 fee) will leave Hildreth House at 11:30 a.m.



The life and times of Frank Sinatra

Enjoy a fast-paced PowerPoint presentation on the career of “Ol’ Blue Eyes” Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. Hear music and see images from the start of Sinatra’s career in the ’30s, his rise to fame in the ’40s, and his fall from grace and comeback in the ’50s.



Memoir-writing group starts in January

In January, the COA will start a memoir-writing group that will meet weekly at Hildreth House. Participants will decide on the most convenient day and time. Facilitators will be Harvard Press writers Carlene Phillips and Connie Larrabee. The group will be limited to eight participants.
