Dorothy (Brown) Cross-Sevon, affectionately known as “Sallie,” a Brookline native and formerly of Rockland, Maine, died peacefully Oct. 2, 2017, at Rivercrest Healthcare in Concord with her family at her side. She was 96.
The wife of the late Raymond Cross and the late Unto Sevon, she was also predeceased by her children Sarah Abel and George Colburn; her parents, William and Sarah (Allen) Brown, and her siblings Eleanor, Madeline, Lillian, Ruthie, and George. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Zolkowski, and husband, George, of Brooksville, Florida; a sister, Marjorie O’Keefe of Newburyport, formerly of Arlington; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Colburn of Harvard; seven grandchildren, including Sarah Rosenfield of Harvard; and nieces, nephews, and their families.
Visiting hours are Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass. Ave. (Route 111), Acton. Interment in Achorn Cemetery, Rockland, Maine, will take place at a later date.
