Athletes set off like a school of fish in the half-mile swim that kicks off the triathlon. 

Reilly Fitzsimmons struggles to take off his wet suit quickly so he can run up Pond Road and get a jump on the competition for the 11-mile bike ride.

Kimberly McFarland of Lovers Lane finishes the swim third in her category, completing the half-mile swim in 14:06.

Scott Clark of Blanchard Road finishes the bike ride so he can move on to the 3-mile run, the last leg of the race.
