With about 601 Harvard households (almost 30 percent) considered housing-cost burdened, and about 74 households (almost 16 percent) considered severely housing-cost burdened, what is the plan to keep townspeople who need affordable housing informed about availability? Is there a centralized information and waiting list at the Town Hall?
How are people kept current about opportunities for housing that’s “in the pipeline”? Importantly, are Harvard residents given priority? Are they given applications or other assistance with the application process? As it stands now, accessing this kind of essential information does not seem to exist. It is very much needed.
