Director of Public Works Tim Kilhart reported to the Board of Health members Tuesday, May 23, that 10 beavers were trapped during the 10-day emergency permit for May 10–19. The permit was used to manage beaver activity that had caused roadside flooding. In a prior Board of Health meeting, Kilhart suggested that further trapping could wait until the regular trapping season from Nov. 1 to April 15, when permits are not necessary. Foreman Ron Gilbert said in an interview, “The problems were cleared up.”
