Applications due May 15 for tax aid
The Elderly and Disabled Tax Aid fund is set up to help elderly and disabled residents defray the costs of their property taxes. The fund consists totally of private donations and is disbursed based on need. Applications are due by May 15. Call the COA or the town treasurer at 978-456-4100 with questions.
Well-Adult clinic
Nashoba Associated Boards of Health in conjunction with the Harvard Board of Health will hold a well-adult clinic Tuesday, May 16, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Hildreth House. Meet with the nurse for a wellness check including blood pressure/pulse monitoring, blood sugar screening, general health counselling, and further assessments, with referrals as needed. Trip to Mason, NH
On Wednesday, May 24, enjoy a trip to Mason, New Hampshire, for lunch at Parker’s Maple Barn, followed by a walk on the trails around Andres Institute of Art, New England’s largest outdoor free museum. The van will leave Hildreth House at 10:30 a.m. and will return to Harvard around 3 p.m. Fee is $5; lunch paid on your own.
Learn about tick-borne diseases
Nashoba Nursing will present a special talk Tuesday, May 16, at 12:30 p.m. on how to prevent tick-borne diseases and what to look for if you do contract something carried by ticks.
Intergenerational porch party
Seniors living with adult children and adults living with a parent are invited to meet other residents in similar living situations Wednesday, May 17, at 4:30 p.m. for a light supper and conversation.
Computer support
Computer support is available each Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To minimize wait time, please call to schedule an appointment. Workshop sessions on specific topics are held Friday afternoons at 1 p.m.

Ice cream social
Celebrate spring with an ice cream sundae Wednesday, May 24, at 4 p.m. on the Hildreth House porch. Doug and Dee Lee will serve, and Debbie’s band will provide entertainment. This free event is for all, but you must sign up by May 17.
Prescription Advantage
Prescription Advantage is a state prescription drug assistance program in Massachusetts that may help lower drug expenses for seniors and those with disabilities. Members are entitled to a one-time Special Enrollment Period (SEP) each year that allows you to join or change your Medicare drug plan outside the normal open enrollment period. To learn more, call the COA office and ask for an appointment with a Minuteman SHINE program counselor.
‘Matisse in the Studio’ at the MFA
Join the COA on Monday, June 5, for a visit to Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts to view “Matisse in the Studio,” a major international exhibit that features pairings of Matisse’s major works with their objects of inspiration. The van will leave Hildreth House at 9:30 a.m. and return at 2:30. The cost for museum entry and the van is $28 and is due by May 19.
Take me out to the ball game!
See the Lowell Spinners play on Friday, July 28. $20 covers the van, a box seat ticket, hot dog, ice cream, and soft drink. The van will leave Hildreth House at 6 p.m. and return around 10 p.m.
