The Harvard Schools Trust will hold its new spring fundraiser, the first Harvard Hootenanny Hoedown, on Saturday, May 6, upstairs in Harvard’s newly renovated Town Hall. Tickets are $25 per person and include live folk music, contra dancing, and a barbecue buffet catered by Harvard’s Chef Paul. Dinner starts at 6 p.m.; dancing follows at 7 p.m. In addition to being a fundraiser for the Schools Trust, the event returns the Town Hall space to its historic purpose as a community gathering place. The hootenanny offers a night out for Harvard adults to gather with friends for food and fun in support of educational enrichment in Harvard’s public schools.
