The 2016 Annual Town Report, in its tribute to Connie Larrabee, says the many jobs she has held—from apple-packer to night dispatcher—tell the story of Harvard itself. Here at the Press, we know of another chapter in that story. For the past 10 years, Connie has worked behind the scenes as copyeditor, making sure articles make sense, are fair, and are true. At staff meetings she lends her experience and integrity to help in decision making. And, once a year in our April Fools’ features, her other side comes out and she makes wicked good fun of some of the town’s favorite people and institutions.
We’re grateful to count Connie as one of our own, and we join the town in celebrating her as Harvard’s 2016 Citizen of Note.
