Please keep in mind that when there is inclement weather, there are no COA programs and the van is taken off the road.



Learn about MassOptions

MassOptions is a free resource that links elders, people with disabilities, and caregivers to services that foster independent living. Come to Hildreth House for lunch ($2) Tuesday, April 4, at noon and learn more about Mass­Options.



Game Day with the Boy Scouts

Enjoy board games and card games donated by Harvard’s Boy Scouts Tuesday, April 4, at 1 p.m. The Scouts and Scoutmaster William Hopper will be available to be game partners or opponents. Snacks will be provided.



Let’s go to the movies

See a feature-length movie starring Natalie Portman Monday, April 10, at 1 p.m. in Volunteers Hall. The R-rated film is a portrait of a tragic moment in American history seen through the eyes of an iconic first lady.



What to expect when you age

Join the COA for breakfast Monday, April 10, at 9 a.m. and stay to hear about the mental and physical effects of growing older (and wiser) at 10 a.m. Dr. Robin Schoenthaler of Emerson Hospital will share her research with us.



Tour and lunch at Nashoba Park Residences

The COA will offer a tour of the independent and assisted living quarters at the Nashoba Park Residences in Ayer on Wednesday, April 5. The van will leave Hildreth House at 11 a.m. and return after lunch.



Don’t be scammed!

Join COA members for lunch ($2) Thursday, April 6, at 12:30 p.m. and learn how criminals try to take advantage of people, especially seniors. Detective Daniele Fortunato of the Harvard Police Department will describe scams that put us at risk—what what they are, what to look for, how to avoid them, and what to do if you fall victim.



Computer support

COA’s computer gurus will be on hand each Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hildreth House computer lab for help and suggestions. Call to schedule an appointment.

Workshop sessions focusing on specific topics are held Friday afternoons at 1 p.m.
