School Committee renews Dwight’s contract

January 26, 2017

The School Committee formally offered Superintendent Linda Dwight a new five-year contract, to take effect June 30. The new agreement sets her compensation at $165,648 in the first year, rising to $175,812 in the final year, with the possibility of a bonus if performance goals are met. Other features of the contract such as vacation and sick days remain the same as before, Chairwoman SusanMary Redinger said. Committee members voted 4–0 Monday night to approve the new contract, with Mary Traphagen, who was absent, having already expressed her agreement by email.

“I thank you very much for this, particularly for the five years,” Dwight said, accepting the contract for her signature.

“We couldn’t be happier to have you here,” Redinger replied.
