Tenth-grader Zach Sclar of Depot Road won the Leominster Barnes & Noble favorite teacher essay contest. He wrote about Bromfield social studies teacher Sharlene Tuttle. His essay will now be entered into a regional competition. If he wins, Mrs. Tuttle will receive $500 and a Nook. If he advances to nationals and wins there, Bromfield and Mrs. Tuttle will receive $5,000 each.
