Kate Toll wins P.E.O. STAR Scholarship

Bromfield senior Kate Toll has been awarded the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship, a $2,500 award presented to female high school seniors based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success. Of the 1,933 applicants for the scholarship, 400 young women from across the United States and Canada were selected. Kate was the only scholarship winner from Massachusetts.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood is an international philanthropic and educational organization that promotes educational opportunities for women. Kate was nominated by P.E.O. Chapter AO, which is based in Harvard and whose members include residents of Harvard and surrounding towns.

Kate will attend Bowdoin College in the fall, where she plans to study biology. She is the daughter of Ned and Sue Toll of Ann Lees Road.
