Celebration 2016 a ‘huge hit,’ thanks to many

May 26, 2016

‘BromiCon’ Celebration 2016 was a huge hit. The night went off without a hitch, with over 200 students attending this substance-free post-prom event. Student attendees were heard to say things like, “It’s even better than I thought it would be,” and “Each year this gets better.”

The event could not have happened without the time, talent, and treasures of countless members of the Harvard community. A huge and heart-felt ‘Thank You’ to the extensive committee members and all who participated in any way. The thanks extend beyond our immediate community: items were borrowed from out-of-town, alumni returned to help—including actor Keir O’Donnell via a video he taped just for the event. The continued support of our school administration should be noted and thanked.

Thank you to the parents of attendees for encouraging their teens to participate in a “safe haven” event on a night that is usually a high-risk night for teens. We could not do this without your support. Thanks to our nearly 200 sponsors who contributed goods and funds to this event—without you we could not run. Please frequent the local businesses who supported Celebration (listed on page 15 of this week’s Press).

The committee is taking a break, but will be thinking about Celebration 2017 soon. If you’d like to get involved, please visit www.bromfieldcelebration.com!
