New scholarship deadline
Bromfield seniors and Harvard residents graduating this year from other public schools are eligible for a scholarship offered by the Harvard Woman’s Club. The deadline for application has been extended to May 15. Forms may be downloaded at http://bit.ly/1QACle2.
Farmers Market plans community cookbook
The Harvard Farmers Market, to commemorate its 10-year anniversary, plans to create a community cookbook. Market patrons from Harvard and surrounding towns are encouraged to email their favorite, farm-fresh recipes to be included in the book. Anecdotes or stories may go with the recipes. Email recipes and or questions to HFMcookbook@gmail.com by May 31.
Take back Rx drugs day
The Harvard Police Department will provide a dropbox at the station, 40 Ayer Road, for the safe disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aerosol cans, EPI pens, liquids, needles and sharps will not be accepted. Celebration update
Are you a night owl? The Celebration committee needs chaperones on prom night, May 20, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Shifts are available, or you can stay all night. The committee also needs help with setup and takedown. Sign up to help and get more information at www.bromfieldcelebration.com.
Celebration logo tank top and T-shirts are available to order at the website. Order them as a memento for your teen! T-shirts will be available at Bromfield on Wednesdays from noon to 12:30 p.m. and again from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Townwide roadside cleanup
Harvard’s townwide roadside cleanup will continue through Sunday, May 1. Volunteers may sign up at http://goo.gl/FeaVTB for a section of any Harvard road. Bags and gloves will be provided. DPW will collect bags from roadsides after May 2. Email harvard.cleanup@gmail.com with questions.
‘Have a Jessie Day 5K’ registration
Come take part in the “Have a Jessie Day 5K” run/walk. This student-organized event honors the memory and celebrates the life of a beloved member of our community, Jessica Peterson. The race will take place Saturday, June 4, at 9 a.m. at the Bromfield School. To register go to www.haveajessieday.com. Proceeds will go to a scholarship fund in Jessie’s name for a graduating Bromfield senior.

The May 15 deadline is fast approaching to apply for property tax assistance through the Elderly and Disabled Tax Aid Fund. Applications and guidelines are available at Town Hall, the library, and Hildreth House, as well as online at www.harvard.ma.us under For Our Residents—Taxes and Financial.
