April 7, 2016

Fourteen-year-old Lela Festa of Still River Road won the North Central Massachusetts Regional Spelling Bee on March 22. She beat out 24 other local students and will now head to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May for the second time, after winning last year’s regional bee, too. Festa is an eighth-grader at the Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Still River.
