Administrative assistant, mother of Harvard man

Jean (Goddard) Planchet, 72, died Dec. 13, 2015, at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham.

Born in Boston on Feb. 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Vera A. (Olson) Goddard. For 51 years, Jean was the wife to Richard Paul Planchet of Framingham.

She worked for the Dennison Manufacturing Co. for 10 years and, most recently, at the Metrowest Medical Center’s Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick as an administrative assistant for 25 years.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and her multiple trips to Disney.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, David Paul Planchet and his wife, Julie, of Harvard, and her grandchildren: Jackie Planchet, a student at Keene State University; Richie Planchet, a senior at the Bromfield School in Harvard; and Isabelle Planchet, a seventh-grader at the Bromfield School. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Murray, and his three children, Buddy, Billy, and Beth. Jean was the sister of the late Doris Murray.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord St. (Route 126), Framingham. Burial will take place on a later date. Visiting hours will be Friday, Dec. 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., Framingham.
