The Halloween festivities on the Common this year were a testament to what a remarkable town we live in. The combined efforts and talents of many brought our community together for an enviable, fun-filled evening of entertainment and camaraderie.
Halloween in Harvard is unique and quite special. We come together as a community to share the fun traditions of this holiday with our fellow residents. It is a community tradition eagerly anticipated year after year, with children and adults strolling about our picturesque Common on a beautiful fall evening, admiring the creativity of each other’s costumes and decorations while sharing greetings, laughter, and creating special family memories.
The wonderful Halloween block party we enjoyed this past Saturday evening was possible because of the fabulous generosity of the Lions Club, the “creepy” creativity of the folks at the Congregational Church, the assistance and support of Chief Denmark and his officers as well as the Fire Department and DPW staffs. Two individuals who deserve special recognition are Trish Rouvel and Pat Natoli of the Police Department, without whose efforts the candy collection and distribution would not have happened. Last but not least, we owe a huge thanks once again to the homeowners on and around the Common for their gracious hospitality and to the student volunteers who assisted them.
Thank you to everyone whose generosity of time and effort make Harvard special—a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
