The Master Plan Steering Committee will present an analysis of Devens and an assessment of its impact on Harvard at a public forum on Thursday, Nov. 12, in Volunteers Hall at the library.
The report is being prepared by Burns & McDonnell, the firm hired by the Master Plan Steering Committee (MPSC) at the end of June to complete facets of the Master Plan that the previous firm, RKG Associates, did not include. One such element is an analysis to determine what, if anything, Harvard should do to incorporate Devens into the plan and what questions it needs to answer before deciding to do so.
Plans for the Nov. 12 forum were announced by Planning Board Chairwoman Kara Minar at the board’s meeting Monday night. The committee, alongside representatives from Burns & McDonnell, will present key findings from the analysis, which includes long-term economic impact, future development possibilities, and suggestions for future incorporation or collaboration.
Following the forum, the MPSC will meet jointly with the Planning Board on Monday, Dec. 7, to present the final report, including feedback gathered at the forum.
