Girl Scouts thank Community Hoedown attendees, contributors, and sponsors

March 5, 2015

Harvard Girl Scout Troop 30892 would like to thank all those who attended the Community Hoedown this past Saturday, February 28. The Berlin Country Orchestra with caller Bill Fischer provided a fun and unique way to get moving, on (yet another) cold and wintery Saturday afternoon. The troop would like to thank all families who contributed to this success and to Girl Scout families who provided delicious chili, beans, pulled pork, cornbread, apple cider, and other delicious goodies. The troop specifically thanks the Bromfield School Celebrations decorating committee for loan of materials, Bill and Sharon Kerns for straw bales, and Pamela Erdos for decorating props. Our local community grocery sponsors were very generous in their support, and we thank Wegmans, Donelan’s, Roche Brothers, and Market Basket. It is truly a privilege and learning opportunity for our scouts to plan and see a community event through to its successful realization. Thank you all for your attendance and support!
