Selectmen seek opinions
on Town Hall stage
The Board of Selectmen seeks the public’s input on the future of the Town Hall’s second-floor stage. This discussion will be held at the Tuesday, Jan. 13 BOS meeting at 8 p.m. Those who cannot be present at the meeting should submit comments to the selectmen’s office through Executive Assistant Julie Doucet (jdoucet@harvard.ma.us).
Basketball program seeks
special athletes, student volunteers
Nashoba Unified Sports, a local program pairing special athletes with typical age-mates, invites student volunteers and special athletes to participate for the 2015 winter season. The program begins Jan. 11 and meets Sunday afternoons from 2 to 3:30 p.m. through March (excluding February vacation and the Martin Luther King weekend) at the Hale Middle School in Stow. Program for prospective Parker students
Applications are available at the Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School for students who will be entering seventh grade next fall. The Parker School is an innovative secondary school serving 400 students in grades 7 through 12. Located in Devens, Parker is a public school that draws from more than 40 towns and school districts. An information program will be held at the school, 49 Antietam St., from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, and again on Sunday, Jan. 25. It is highly recommended that all prospective students and their parents attend an information session and stay for the entire program, which will offer an overview of the curriculum. Parker staff and current students and parents will also be on hand to answer questions about the academic program, extracurricular activities, and student life.
