Wendy Eldredge was unanimously approved as a new member of the Historical Commission at the Planning Board meeting Monday night. Eldredge will fill the vacancy left by former chairman Ken Swanton following his election to the Board of Selectmen in November.
Commission Chairman Joseph Theriault said that Eldredge was a good fit because of her background as an educator. He noted that the commission is currently focused on developing educational programs to train its members, and any others who are interested, about historical preservation.
Eldredge, who will serve as the commission’s representative to the Planning Board, looks forward to working with the group. “I’m interested in helping out on this committee and seeing what I can bring to it,” she said.
