Booster Club Tree Sale
The Bromfield Baseball Booster Club will host a Christmas tree sale outside the General Store Friday, Nov. 28, Saturday, Nov. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Trees will also be sold Fridays, Dec. 5 and 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. and every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The trees will be freshly cut Fraser firs from Vermont in the 6- to 8-foot range, with a few taller trees. Homecoming at Pub Night
The Harvard General Store will host Pub Night with the theme “Harvard Homecoming” Friday, Nov. 28, from 7 to 11 p.m. Come hang out with college friends and enjoy music by Ashley Jordan, the “Three Ways Til Sunday” improv troupe, and special guest star “Karaoke.” Cover charge is $5. Pub fare is available from the kitchen.
Trail Walk at Fruitlands
Fruitlands Museum will host a guided one-hour trail walk Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. at the museum. Interpreters will lead participants in a walk along Fruitlands’ glacial beach, archaeological sites, forest, and scenic vistas of the Nashua River. Trail shoes, walking sticks, and hats recommended. Free with admission.
Ukulele Songs at Woman’s Club Meeting
The Harvard Woman’s Club will hold its meeting and a special program Monday, Dec. 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish. After lunch Harvard resident and local ukulele virtuoso Danno Sullivan will share his musical knowledge in song. Bubbleology
The Harvard Public Library will host “The Secret Life of Bubbles” with Keith Michael Johnson Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 12:30 p.m. at the library. Bubbleology explores the world of bubbles with state-of-the-art soap bubble sculptures—some bigger than bathtubs, others fog-filled, spinning geometric shapes. Civil War Re-enactors Revisit
The 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry re-enactors, who held an encampment on the town Common last June, will return to Harvard on Thursday, Dec. 4, to speak at the Harvard Historical Society’s annual meeting at 215 Still River Road. Following a business meeting at 7 p.m., members of the 28th Infantry will speak at 8 p.m. presenting insights into life during the Civil War.
The meeting is open to all. Refreshments will follow the presentation.
Middle School Musical
Performances of the musical “Once on This Island” will take place Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Bromfield School’s Cronin Auditorium, with a matinee at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. Tickets for this Tony-nominated, Caribbean-flavored musical are available at the door, $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
Lunch With Santa
Santa Claus will be receiving guests—the naughty and the nice—at three lunch seatings Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Harvard, 5 Still River Road. Tickets, $7, are available at the church office.
Pro Musica Presents Christmas Oratorio
Harvard Pro Musica, with musicians from Westminster Choir College and New England Conservatory, will celebrate the holiday season with two performances of the J.S. Bach Christmas Oratorio. The first is Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Unitarian Church. The second will take place Sunday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Under the direction of artistic director Andy Icochea Icochea, Harvard Pro Musica will perform Parts 1 though 3 of the Oratorio. Devens and Its Impact on Harvard

‘Following the Ninth’ Documentary
The Harvard Friends of the Arts will host the film “Following the Ninth: In the Footsteps of Beethoven’s Final Symphony” Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. at the library’s Volunteers Hall. Family Holiday Fair and Puppet Show
The Evergreen Garden Playschool and the Oxbow Schoolhouse will host a holiday fair for families Sunday, Dec. 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at 270 Barnum Road, Devens. Bring your family for live music, refreshments, and local artisan crafts to purchase. There will be crafts to make appropriate for children ages 2 to 12 and for those young at heart. Winter Craft Workshop and Open House
Fruitlands Museum will host a winter craft workshop for families Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum. Participants will use a pinecone and felt to create a tiny woodland creature and will make star garlands and jewel-toned window decals. Free with the price of admission. Also on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Fruitlands Museum store will host an open house with holiday discounts and free gift wrapping.
Christmas Pageant
The annual Ecumenical Christmas Pageant, featuring the children of Harvard, will be presented Sunday, Dec. 14, in two performances, at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m., at the Harvard Unitarian Church at the top of the Common. A cookie-and-cocoa reception will be held at the Congregational Church starting at 4:15 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The annual Christmas tree lighting and singing of carols will take place Sunday, Dec. 14, after the 4:30 p.m. performance of the Christmas Pageant, about 5:30 p.m., on the Common.

Christmas Pops in Lancaster

Harvard Pro Musica Singers
in Concord Band Holiday Pops
The Concord Band’s holiday pops concert will feature 16 voices (the HPM Chamber Singers) from Harvard Pro Musica Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. at 51 Walden St., Concord.
