Avid golfer; worked in high-tech industry

Michael Jacob Fitterman of Myrick Lane died of natural causes at age 48 on Saturday, July 5.

Mike was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Belleville) Fitterman and the devoted father of Rachel and Daniel. He is also survived by his parents, Carol and Robert Fitterman of Gainesville, Fla.; his brother Brian and sister-in-law Michele of Westbrook, Conn., and their four children Megan, Ryan, Jack, and Eric; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a loving husband and dedicated father who enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to being an avid golfer since the age of 7, he was passionate about astronomy, classical music performances, and the New York Giants. He had a larger-than-life personality and will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Born in Danbury, Conn., Mike graduated from Shepaug Valley Regional High School in Washington Conn., and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. He had a long and successful career in the high-tech industry, beginning with positions at Lotus and Digital, and he spent years at numerous startup companies as well as Sun Microsystems and Constant Contact. Most recently he was employed as Vice President of Product Development for Epsilon Corporation in Wakefield.

A service was held for Mike on Thursday, July 10, at 4 p.m.  at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton.
